Tara (she/her) is a seasoned development and fundraising professional with an illustrious career spanning nearly two decades. With a deep passion for creating positive change and a commitment to empowering marginalized communities, Tara has dedicated her life’s work to the mobilization of resources and support for those in need. Driven by her own personal experiences and an unwavering belief in social justice, Tara’s journey in the development field has been guided by a powerful emotional connection to the work she does. Witnessing firsthand the struggles and inequalities faced by marginalized communities, she felt a strong calling to take action and be a catalyst for change. Tara’s reasons for supporting girls of color in particular stem from a deep understanding of the unique challenges they face. Having witnessed the intersectional barriers and discrimination that girls of color encounter, Tara is passionate about creating spaces where they can thrive, succeed, and break free from the limitations imposed by society. Prior to her role at G4GC, Tara served in a leadership role at College Track, a national organization dedicated to expanding educational opportunities to disenfranchised youth of Color. Before that, Tara played a major role in a $350 million capital campaign at the University of Southern California. She also has experience working for international NGOs and family services organizations. Tara is a proud alum of the University of Southern California (Fight On!) where she earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Law. She also has an MBA in Marketing from the California State University of Los Angeles. Tara is a born and raised Los Angeleno and resides on traditional Chumash and Tongva (Gabrieleno) land.
