Girls Unlimited Book Tour  đź“–đź’«

G4GC President/CEO Dr. Monique Couvson is on the road with her new book, Girls, Unlimited: How to Invest in Our Daughters with More than Money. She spoke to incredible youth advocates like Tarana Burke and Fatima Goss Graves about how and why we need to invest in the unlimited potential of young people.

Girls’ Power Learning Institute

New collection of resources from the Girls’ Power Learning Institute!

We invite you to explore amazing booklets from the Girls’ Power Learning Institute! These booklets synthesize years of collective learning across movements on how to meaningfully document, support, and resource the strategies that drive systemic change. They are part of the institute’s ongoing effort to build narrative, knowledge, and power with and for girls and young feminists.

The collection includes:

  1. Girls and Girlhood: Resisting, Building, and Dreaming New Worlds
  2. Girls and Young Feminists: Sparking, Leading, and Organising Across Social Movements
  3. Resourcing Girls and Young Feminists: Analysis of the Context, Approaches, and Practices

  • William T. Grant Foundation’s Research Grants on Reducing Inequality: This program funds research aimed at reducing inequality in academic, social, behavioral, or economic outcomes for U.S. youth ages 5–25. Major grants range from $100,000 to $600,000, while smaller officers’ grants provide $25,000 to $50,000. The initiative supports descriptive and intervention studies and offers grantees capacity-building, expert connections, and collaborative learning opportunities. Learn more
  • Join the Southern Black Girls and Women’s Consortium’s Wisdom Council: As Southern Black Girls prepares for upcoming grant cycles, they’re growing their Wisdom Council to help guide grantmaking with clarity, wisdom, and purpose. You can offer your lived experience and leadership to ensure that Black girls and women across the South remain at the center of every decision. Learn more
  • The David Prize NYC (New York): The David Prize is a celebration of New Yorkers with ideas for extraordinary change. Open to any individual working in the five boroughs, the Prize welcomes those with the vision and conviction to change our communities, our culture, and our future for good. Learn more
  • The Brotherhood Sister Sol (BroSis) Pedagogy of Liberation Conference (New York)
  • Join BroSis on January 17 for a deep dive into liberatory teaching methods at Pedagogy of Liberation! This free community event was created to reenergize educators, youth workers, and community practitioners who are passionate about youth development and transformative education. Sessions will include: Arts as Resistance, Culturally Relevant Design, Restorative Justice, Writers Collective, Environmental Justice andTheatre of the Oppressed. Learn more

  • Center for Native American Youth – Remembering Our Sisters Fellowship 
    Each year, a small group of femme-identifying Native youth embark on a collective healing journey in support of our stolen relatives. In 2026, selected applicants will not only create virtual storytelling & digital art pieces that advance the MMIP movement — but will also become part of the larger CNAY Fellowship program, engage in a shared curriculum & convene in community as one.   • Operation Restoration’s Operation Girls (New Orleans, LA) 
    Operation Girls (OG) is a program made just for girls ages 11-17 who have been impacted by incarceration. We’re here to give you a safe space to be yourself, connect with others girls and build a strong support system. Attendees can expect weekly “Girl Talk” workshops, fitness and wellness classes, financial literacy workshops, mentorship and sisterhood, weekend excursions and more! Learn more
  • Black Girls Smile: In-Person LGBTQ+ Support Group (Brooklyn, NY)
    These gatherings are designed to create a sense of belonging, community, and healing, while exploring the intersection of mental health and lived experience. Their LGBTQ+ Young Adult Support Group is an affirming space for LGBTQ+ young adults to share their experiences and support one another at the intersection of identity and mental health. Learn more

If your org has a youth story, funding opportunity, event, or celebration centering girls and gender-expansive youth of Color, we invite you to share it with the G4GC community! We would love to amplify your efforts that center youth wisdom and experiences. Complete this Google form at least 2-3 weeks in advance for events and any deadlines.
